These straddle carriers fitted with hoisting spreaders can be adapted to hoist various types of precast segments or beams.
Together with the client we develop a project to satisfy precise requirements as well as utilising when possible standard components to ensure spare parts are easily sourced and delivered to tight schedules. We also offer our clients a number of optional accessories such as hydraulic shock absorbers for working on uneven ground conditions, the possibility of not only controlling the straddle carrier from the operator’s cab, but also from a remote radio control unit, and different types of steering options.

 

 

Flatbed trolleys for transporting precast bridge spans with load carrying capacities spanning between 30 and 1500 ton and having lengths up to 50 m.

We were pioneers in this type of transport and handling site vehicle. We started by developing and manufacturing rail mounted trolleys and as the years passed we developed and perfected tyre-mounted versions resulting in a cost effective solution.

This flatbed trolley consists of a main central bearing beam designed to support a concrete span at both ends and mounts shock absorbers on all wheel groups to maintain and ensure an equal load distribution. These machines although developed and manufactured for working with a launching gantry which hoists and positions the beam between the two piers, can be reutilised for other jobs or converted for use in precast yards.

These straddle carriers are designed to the client’s requirements especially for tunnel construction jobs where they have to move in a limited space and travel at high speeds with a full load.

Machine specifications can be extremely stringent in this case such as practically no exhaust and dust emission, in others words they have to mount special exhaust pipes and other specific components. At times these machines are designed with additional components to ensure the end customer heavy-duty service, an important and essential feature when working on site to tight schedules.

Straddle Carriers for hosting and transporting boats (Travellift) w ith load carrying capacities from 20 up to 800 tons and varying sizes designed to end customer requirements.

Project design for these machines represents an on-site test for companies in this specific manufacturing sector offering innovative technical and structural features. Eden Technology’s experts invented the Trollift, a straddle carrier with varying wheel gauge function with the boat loaded. This innovative technical feature allows shipyard and marina operators to optimise the dry-docking space available also minimising the space required for machine manoeuvring. These straddle carriers are controlled from a remote control unit, are fitted out with different types of steering and travel systems, and mount compact maintenance free components.
